Clean Freak Method!

Last week, I moved into my own place. Almost 30 and I finally have an apartment I can call my own. I am in a big girl’s world. And what better way to make a place spic and span than household cleaning products???
I am sort of a clean freak when it comes to my own things, but hate to clean in general. Hello, I live in New York and have a had a cleaning lady for the past three years. However, I do know how to spot trends and when I discovered Method products last year at a party, I couldn’t put them down and knew one day I would need to use them again and in my very own place.
Method products are environmentally friendly, come in various scents and colors, are in friendly disposable displays and do not stink up the apartment. Here are some of my favorites and P.S. they are super cheap ranging from $4-$7 at the most:
All Surface Cleaner – all purpose!
Daily Shower Spray – you never have to wash your tub again!
Hand Wash – smells amazing and does the job!

Vivienne Tam named after a symbol of good luck is one of my recent discoveries. One night, I walked into one of my favorite lower east side vintage shops, boy do I miss shopping, but with this economy you can’t wish for much! Anyways, I found a Vivienne Tam, which I instantly snatched and have since fallen in love with her floral designs.
Her 2009 Spring Collection is amazing to say at the least, look at some of the looks below. From the red fiery number to the long floral gown and how can we forget the pink creamy piece that oh so reminds us of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and The City!
With Beijing fabrics at her fingertips, Vivienne is a mastermind when it comes to designing clothes. Her pieces sell at major department stores: Saks, Neiman and Bloomingdales and can also been seen as art in museums. She is simply “China Chic,” where East truly meets West and has even been featured on PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful List. She is even HP’s new spokesperson!

As many celebrate the holidays and give thanks for 2008, people are also looking forward to 2009 and the best part of it all – is attending the numerous holiday gatherings before the year is officially over! What makes this transition from year to year a little easier, is knowing the stars have to go through the same thing, so much so that we are thankful to them for inspiring our party going looks and ways.
And who better than SJP – Sarah Jessica Parker, to show us the perfect way to use a LBD (little black dress) and to get much needed attention! She stunned fans at the New York City Ballet in a one shouldered fantastic yet chic Balmain dress. SJP was the talk of the town this week: from this dress to her Bitten line’s new home (TBD) and the soon to be SATC release – Sex and The City sequel!

The Youngest Designer and the Adoring Fashionista hit the Red Carpet in Style. Seems like a great team: a hot, young designer pairing up with a budding TV Star. With creds like these – no wonder the duo are in sync.
Brian Reyes, at the age of 26, has all of New York talking with his cocktail numbers to his socialista gowns. Leighton Meester, at the age off 22 , has all of Manhattan talking with her hit show – Gossip Girl and occassional appearance on Entourage.
From the cerulean, to the black and off-brown couture choices, Leighton – simply put – is dazzling in his collection. Yes the dresses are a fortune, but they look fantastic.
In 2006, Reyes received the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award and he has become a red carpet fave amongst young Hollywood, including actresses like Rachel Bilson and America Ferrera. With awards like these – he can only be on the Lust List and of course on Leighton’s. Don’t worry we wont tell, XOXO - Gossip Girl!

House Bunnies, not really, well sort of. Don’t we love that Anna Faris and Rumer Willis wore the same dress at the House Bunny premiere on the same night! However, I love them both, in the red and in the blue - very pretty. This Estella Dress designed with a sweetheart neckline filled with roses from Yaya Aflalo is precious at the top and flows to fit the body well with a straight up and down line showing off the female silhouette on these girls. Everyone from Blake Lively to Lauren Conrad has been seen wearing Yaya’s style. You might remember Blake’s tunic that she wore on Gossip Girl, it sold out before the second season even aired.

Yes, it is raining Richard Ruiz tunics everywhere! Shannon (yes from 90210) Doherty and the new reality version of herself – Lauren Conrad has been seen sporting these bright, colorful and winged like Japanese Kimono pieces. I personally love the red, but the black one with a belt is just as cute. I just love silk charmeuse print dresses – so flattering on everyone!
Richard Ruiz studied at the Parson School of Design in New York and Paris, kudos for both and it definitely shows! He personally has designed for celebrities from Ceiline Dion concerts in Vegas to Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy, Heidi Klum and Kiera Knightley. His designs are classic, but sexy and elegant.
