Sporting a darker “do” these days (MK), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen received the ultimate award, the 2012 CFDA Fashion Award for Womenswear Designer of the Year for their unique collection … the Row.
See feature in Marie Claire:
The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a non-for-profit trade organization for over 350 fashion and accessory designers. One of LustList’s favorite designers: DVF – Diane von Furstenburg, who we cover all the time here … is the current Group’s President. She and Seth Myers from Saturday Night Live (SNL) hosted the awards show last night at the Lincoln Center in NYC for the organization’s 50th Anniversary.
For the first time, this show will be broadcasted on Style.com today at 5 p.m. Eastern.
The Row launched in 2007 and is named after a shopping destination in London. This ready to wear brand is very modern with clean and elegant lines and is a little more high brow than Elizabeth & James, which is named after their siblings (refer to an earlier mention in our Blog)!
Other winners include:
Reed Krakoff – Accessory Designer of the Year (j’adore)
Comme des Garcons – International Award (remember the collab they did with H&M)
Johnny Depp – Fashion Icon Award (although, Johnny didn’t show up, we heard it was still a good time)
Stay tuned for more information and products you will soon be lusting for …
